My Six-Month Odyssey in AI Video Creation: Between Revolution and Reality

It’s been six months since I dove headfirst into the fascinating world of AI video creation. Armed with the incredible tool that is Veo and my own background as an internet video creator, I embarked on an experiment that has completely upended my perception of video production. During a formative internship, I had the opportunity to put this technology to the test, particularly for short-form content on TikTok and a few posts on Instagram. My conclusion is undeniable: we are on the cusp of a new era, but the human creator has never been more essential.

The Promise of Blazing Speed

The first shock is the speed. Video concepts that, just a year ago, would have required weeks of shooting, animation, or sourcing stock footage can now be brought to life in a fraction of a second. A simple sentence, an idea typed into a prompt, and Veo transforms it into a moving, audible sequence. The realism can be astonishing. Watching an idea materialize almost instantly is an experience that feels like magic. For content creators like me, accustomed to juggling tight deadlines and limited budgets, this is a complete game-changer.

The Indispensable Human Touch: "Humanliness" and "EthixAI"

However, this magic has its limits. And that's where my human expertise came into play. I quickly learned that while AI is a powerful engine, it needs an attentive driver. I framed my approach around two concepts that guided my work: Humanliness and EthixAI.

The concept of Humanliness was born from a simple observation: AI, despite its progress, still lacks subtlety. The generated videos are sometimes perfect, but often, they contain imperfections—strange details that need to be corrected, or even hidden. The quality isn't always there in a "one-shot." This means you have to run the generation again, tweak the prompts, and sometimes even touch up the final result. The time saved in raw production is then reinvested into curation and post-production to ensure the content has a soul, a coherence, a genuine sense of "humanliness."

The second pillar of my approach, EthixAI, addresses the responsibility that comes with being a creator. With tools capable of generating such realism, the line between real and fake becomes increasingly blurred. It is our duty as creators to use this technology ethically, with full transparency, and to avoid contributing to misinformation.

World-Modeling on an Accelerated Path

What's most impressive is seeing how quickly "World-Modeling" technology—the AI's ability to understand and simulate our world—is advancing. The videos are no longer simple animations; they possess a depth, an understanding of physics and interactions that makes them increasingly believable. And with Veo, the videos can talk! The addition of a synchronized soundtrack opens up immense narrative possibilities.

This six-month experience has been intense and enlightening. AI is a tool for mass production, an accelerator of ideas, but it does not replace the vision, judgment, and ethics of the creator. The ability to bring ideas to life so quickly is already a victory in itself. I am incredibly excited to see what the future holds, and I especially can't wait to get my hands on the next iteration of competing models, like Sora 2, to push the boundaries of creativity even further.
